Genesis House (Livingston County Community Mental Heath)

Mission: To support individuals recovering from mental illness by fostering a community-based environment where members can rebuild social, educational, and vocational skills.

Genesis House is dedicated to providing community-based support to Livingston County residents recovering from mental illnesses.

It’s a place for members to come together on a voluntary basis. Members are able to move beyond their illnesses by focusing on their strengths, talents and abilities rather than symptoms. The meaningful work that members do creates a vibrant, positive community and helps members to reach their own recovery goals.

As part of the Clubhouse International model, Genesis House provides a space where members and staff collaborate on daily activities that enhance personal recovery, offering both volunteer and social engagement opportunities. The goal is to help members regain independence and promote their ongoing recovery journey.
