SELCRA will promote individual, community, and economic stewardship by providing outstanding recreation, sports and leisure programs for citizens of all ages. SELCRA aims to develop more park land and facilities for recreation and sports. Both quality facility improvements and additional recreational offerings are necessary with the growing population of individual and families in the Livingston County area. SELCRA achieves its mission by: Strengthening community image and sense of place Supporting economic development Strengthening safety and security Promoting health and wellness Fostering human development Protecting environmental resources Facilitating community problem solving Supporting community organizations

Southeastern Livingston County Recreation Authority provides the area with recreational programming and community events.
