Meals On Wheels - Livingston County Senior Nutrition Program

Who We Are

Mission: To empower local community programs to improve the health and quality of life of seniors so that no one is left hungry or isolated.

The Livingston County Senior Nutrition Program, “Meals On Wheels” is a Non-Profit organization which offers a nutrition service for senior adults over the age of 60. Meals on Wheels is much more than just a meal. It provides homebound older adults with a means of human contact on a daily basis by friendly, courteous volunteers. This gives our seniors and their families a sense of security, knowing that someone who cares will check on them.

What We Do

Well Balanced hot meals are delivered five days a week that meet one third of a person’s daily nutrition requirements to the frail homebound seniors of Livingston County. We also provide meals to the following Congregate Senior Centers: Fowlerville, Hamburg, and Hartland. Senior Centers provide fellowship and social activities for those who are able to travel to them.
