Who We Are
Mission: To teach people to be faithful caretakers of one another and the world around us.
The Howell Nature Center is nestled around beautiful Pleasant Lake and among 230 rolling acres of woods and wetlands in the heart of Livingston County, Michigan. The Howell Nature Center is a wildlife rehabilitation center, camp, and conference center that is also home to Livingston County’s only zoo, Wild Wonders Wildlife Park. The wildlife park is home to animals who despite rehabilitation efforts, would not be able to survive in the wild.
What We Do
We offer comprehensive outdoor education and recreation programs; outstanding age-progressive summer camps; a premier wildlife rehabilitation clinic; native Michigan wildlife in our teaching zoo; Wild Wonders Wildlife Park; and an adventure education center available year-round to individuals and groups all over the Midwest. Through all of this, we teach people to be faithful caretakers of one another and the world around us.
