Community Connect is a one-day event connecting Livingston County residents in need with free information, services, and basic needs resources. 

Loading Assistants are needed to facilitate an orderly and safe event.

You will:

Get a briefing before your shift Situate yourself near the exit  Assist Guests with transporting their giveaways to their vehicles  Be polite and proactive Brief event organizers as you leave your post Be making a huge difference for a safe and orderly event, so THANK YOU!

Plan to:

Be inside AND outside during most of your shift.  Dress for  your comfort in doing so Be standing and walking during most of your shift.  Wear comfortable footwear and layers as needed Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occur

Guest Guides/Helpers are needed to create a welcoming event and assist our guests in navigating the event from start to finish. The majority of Guides will be assigned to assist in the Giveaway room. There will still be a few Guides at the entrance. We are finding the guests need the most assistance with all of the giveaways. 

You will:

Get a briefing and assignment before your shiftSMILE and warmly greet each guest you assist Help guest access information and services You may support several guests per volunteer shift Be making a huge difference for a safe and orderly event, so THANK YOU!

Plan to:

Stand during your entire shift. Wear comfortable footwear Hold things, read an event map, chat socially with your guest Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occur

Exhibitor Volunteer Check-In is needed to facilitate a welcoming, safe event.

You will:

Get a briefing before your shift Greet exhibitors and volunteers as they enter the event venue Provide information/name tags Check for waivers  Brief the event organizers as you leave your post Please coordinate additional details with Grace Dennis. Plan to:

Be inside during your shift. Be standing and walking during most of your shift.  Wear comfortable shoes and layers Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occur

Hospitality Volunteers are needed to create a welcoming event.

You will:

Get a briefing before your shift Situate yourself on the main field/Information Booth Answer guest questions  Greet exhibitors, offer water, snacks, and short bathroom breaks  Be making a huge difference for a safe and orderly event, so THANK YOU!

Plan to:

Stand during your entire shift. Wear comfortable footwear Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occur

Set-Up Volunteers are needed to facilitate an orderly and safe event.

You will:

Get a briefing before your shift - meet at the Student Auditorium Entrance  Follow instructions from logistics volunteers and the event committee to set up tables, chairs, all event materials Unload trucks or carsBe making a huge difference for a safe and orderly event, so THANK YOU!

Plan to:

Work hard and fast Shift over at indicated end time, or when the job is complete, whichever occurs first Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occurIt is helpful to have work gloves

Note: the building is open during setup and must work around building guests!

Tear Down Volunteers are needed to facilitate an orderly and safe event.

You will:

Get a briefing before your shift - meet on the soccer field near the locker room bathrooms Follow instructions from logistics volunteers and the event committee to pack up tables, chairs, all event materials Load trucks or cars Reposition chairs in the chapel area  Be making a huge difference for a safe and orderly event, so THANK YOU!

Plan to:

Work hard and fast Shift over at indicated end time, or when the job is complete, whichever occurs first Communicate with event organizers if any accidents or issues occurIt is helpful to have work gloves
